PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Kerr Company worked on a project for the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to provide acquisition support for a large Managed Storage Outsourcing acquisition.
Tasks performed include: (1) Gathered and documented comprehensive program and technical requirements; (2) Performed research on similar storage as a service (SaaS) acquisitions; (3) Acted as the liaison between the IT department, the Contracting group and Office of General Counsel; (4) assisted with writing the Request for Information (RFI); (5) Assisted with writing the acquisition RFP, which included writing the Statement of Work (SOW); (6) Updated the independent government cost estimate; (6) Assisted with the vendor technical and price evaluation process – identifying areas where millions of dollars could be reduced from the bids received.
